Experiencing Buddhism I am not a rattling apparitional person. To me, each religion is more or lessthing you bind to make a occasion of your life: the way you can be a vegan or a republican; you can be a Buddhist or a Christian. If you call yourself one you are emphatically one, because you choose to be. Commitment is a large part of it as well. Though I am not religious, I am spiritual, and believe that each religion respectively is and has its own guidelines for practicing church property in a different way. Therefore, I do regularize to immerse myself in all different religions practicing them and learning some them only when sometimes a person whose religion whitethorn not be a part of their life yet their whole life can find this disrespectful. Thats why I dont go around entree churches, temples, and synagogues alike, but merely live my life to my own person-to-personisedised Bible, commandments, and babble issue my own hymns. Though, I feel Buddhis m is a very forthright and accepting religion; indeed, one of the main teachings of the Buddha is to cast out the ego or the self, and that none of us nonplus a permanent identity: the universe is constantly changing. Before entering the temple, I had a vague idea of what would be taught based on the things I had learned in class so far, but no idea of the people that would gather at the temple or what would happen during the sermon. Any attraction I had almost immediately fell away as I adjusted to the calm energy that pervaded the building; it seemed to rotate down from the ceiling and enclose everything, including all persons that entered its doors.
